Tufts School

School started and our first projects were to learn how to place a rubber dam and making 2 sets of stone casts.It took us till 7.30 in the evening and I was busted as my legs ached. Here is a picture of what I did..(not mine,but just an idea)

Glow on the face!

I recently took to doing cardio workouts for an hour and since then I noticed a glow in my face! I'm not kidding...so today I searched on the net and found out that when we workout,we release toxins in the form of sweat and thus the glow.Some more tips to keep this glow is drinking 4-5 cups of green tea daily or 6 glasses of water,eating fruits etc.I have not been able to drink much water as it seems like work to me!
Coming back to cardio workout,there are many elder ladies who have so much stamina and apparently they have been doing this for the past 10 years religiously..can you believe that?The worst are ab exercises..I really struggle to do those 15 min of ab exercises and it pains a lot which makes me take a break in the middle of it.
I'm signing off with a prayer that I become size zero within a month!!

New year...new goals:-)

Happy New Year everyone!Its been a year I updated my blog but this time I promise to write in regularly!I wanted to use this blog (for the time being) as a start to finish record of doing something special for Adarsh everyday until I join school:-)

Yesssss...I got admitted into the school of my dreams!Tufts University School of Dental Medicine:-)) Actually I got admitted into 2 schools..the other one is State University at Buffalo.A couple of years back I felt dejected and thought "Will I ever get into a school?".I still remember the moment I got my first acceptance,which was from UB.It was 4 am in the morning and I was having this jet lag.I couldnt sleep,so I woke up to check my mail in the ipad. There it was "acceptance notice from UB".I saw it...and started crying.I took it to God and was just crying.I couldnt say anything...but I know God must have heard my thank you.

Then I took it to mummy who was,by then,as usual telling me to TRY to sleep to adjust to Indian timings.I told her to take a look at this.She saw it and was so happy...she woke Daddy up too.By then all of us were wide awake.And why not...when we were through this struggle for more than 2 years?Yes...my parents,my second set of parents( inlaws), me and my DH were struggling together.Of course I should add sometimes I had to show my frustration on my brother too.Apparently he had tears in his eyes too,when I told him of this.

I called up Adarsh then and there and was unable to tell him..and he started telling me sternly "what is it??what are you saying?" OMG...I wanted to tell him..cant you understand my silence!!!!!!!!!!!And then in a couple of min,Mavayagaru called up and said that he was awake and even if he was not..I should wake him up and tell him...haha...he is so sweet.And then we went to a temple.What a sweet way to celebrate my victory.Yes...it was the first time I achieved something..I got it into the list of 12 accepted candidates:-)

What I learnt and still am learning is "never give up".I still remember those days when I was preparing for eamcet and used to be so disappointed.No one can be perfect.No one gets it right the first time.Its upto us to choose to stop running this race or atleast try to make it to the finish line even if we are the last ones to do so.Winners never quit and quitters never win.

But I am not perfect.I am a virgo and they say virgos are perfectionists.Then why do I have so many imperfections?Daily,I tend to leave something which is not so perfect or something that I can improve on.Will I have a day when I can say..yes,I am that perfect lady like my mother,attha and akka?I hope I can live to that day when I can say "I have become a perfect lady." Until then,my quest to bring a smile on adarsh's face starts...

driving blues

Hello all...I have not updated since a long long time.What can I say,I'll just pen down some interesting events or should i say memories?So I got my driving license..yoohoo!!It was so funny since I booked for the test somewhere in November and took more than 7 months to give the first test.Initially I couldnt get to drive between 2 lines on the road (i.e..not in a straight line)!Then when I got my license...it was like freedom!Here,I would like to say Thank you Adarsh...he pushed me and pushed me to get it.And now Im happy i did.I remember once I had to buy a birthday cake for Adarsh.I had to ask Adarsh to drive me to the shop and bring the cake before him.So then I thought,no surprises...whats the fun in doing it?
I would like to add that driving is not always fun...Its more than fun.Why?Recently my inlaws came here.I was driving with Mavayagaru beside me.oh god..puruvu poyindi...I didnt know the route..so lost my way.Another time,i was supposed to take a u turn,instead,took a direct left.It was a shocking moment for Mavayagaru...We were against the traffic.Dont ask me how we got through....Luckily the signal was red!SO like I said...driving is more than fun!
Any similar incidents anyone?

Looooong time!!!!

Hello ji....its been a long time since i updated and its because...i forgot the name of the blog!!haha..i tried to remember for a long time,but it was my sister who reminded me!Happy New Year to everybody!So many things happened in this time..we bought a house!still a month to go for us to actually shift..Then i'll try to upload a few pics.

I just remembered a small incident happening some time back.Thought i would share it.I had to cut my nails once and Adarsh doesnt like any nail to be left on the ground.So i thought of a brilliant idea.I kept my leg on the commode seat and was cutting my toenails.Was pretty proud of myself for having thought of such an idea...but only till the time the nailcutter fell into the commode:-((((((((
I really had to take out the nailcutter very fast from that water!Adarsh was laughing,saying ''why do such things happen only to u?''
So the moral of the story:never cut your nails on the commode!!Anybody faced a similar situation?

The Falls

Hi Everybody!!!!How are u??This post will be about my trip to Niagara.We went to Niagara Falls on a weekend.Though daddy Mummy took all of us when we were small...i dont remember anything much.So i'll relate what i felt now.It is just an awesome sight to see it...falls on 3 sides and we are in the centre in the boat!!wow...it was alomost like one of those motion pictures where we are in an adventure!!People say that a lady died there and her soul remains as a mist.Hence the name to the falls..''Maid of the Mist''.I didnt know any story related to the falls...There is a movie too there describing stories where people challenged the falls.In the beginning it was like a documentary..and i was feeling soooo sleepy...but later it held my interest.Pics of the trip!And yes..Indira Aunty and family visted us..so it was all the more memorable:-))
